Stereonoon is a music collective conceived by Anna Polinari, new voice
of Verona, and Max Tozzi, very active participant of Milan musical scene
and founder of the band cinemavolta. The project came from their
creative encounter during the lockdown.
Their first single is a Neo-Soul and Nu Jazz rendition of the well-known
Joe Jackson’s song ‘Steppin’ Out’: they set the scene for their musical
ground and future releases.
Anna’s voice and Max’s bassline are featured by the English drummer
Danyal Ince, the Turkish saxophonist Nedim Ulusoy and the Hungarian
trumpet player Gergo Bille.
‘Steppin’ Out’ is just a springboard to their future EP, which is due to
be released later this autumn and will contain only original tracks.
For the studio sessions and the pubblication of the EP, the collective
is going to expand and include several Italian and international
musicians.
Anna Polinari
Soul singer of Verona who’s working with different acoustic and electric
projects and specialised in Rock-Soul, Funk and R&B music. Her
influences also include Neo-Soul and Nu Jazz artists. She is currently
teaching singing lessons in several schools around Verona.
Max Tozzi
After founding the band cinemavolta and recording seven albums with
them, he committed to the life of a multi-instrumentalist, and worked
with Omar Pedrini, Claudio Bisio, Max Casacci, Nathan Allen, Xantoné
Black, Ski Oakenfull, Nikki, Bengi, Bobby Soul and many more.
He creates and produces soundtracks for feature films and short films,
sports anthems, songs, and tracks for international libraries.
