Sadly within a few months ITV was spitefully dumbed down when Benny became the first big name victim of cancel culture and was sacked whilst bringing in 20 million pounds worldwide export profits for Thames TV whose detested head of comedy John Howard Davies from the BBC (who also sacked 300 Thames TV staff in an obvious hit job) bizarrely stated Bennys show "cost too much to make" at 450 grand which was an excellent investment considering the return.
