⁣This is my fourth album track as part of "Visitations" I was going to call this track "Lights in The Skies". Unfortunately, there is a sad story that goes with this track, on the 17 May 2017 my Dad sadly died of lung cancer, he'd had the disease for three years and bravely fought it these last few months dying suddenly.

I'm sure many of you have known others with this terrible disease and are aware of how it takes a persons dignity and hope. A few days after my Dad died I set about recording the above - titled track to take my mind off things, I'd laid down the acoustic rhythm and set about playing some lead guitar over it. I got a few melodic tunes going and then cried like a baby with the vibes of the tune, I knew there and then that this track was meant to be a tribute to my dad.

I changed the name to "Astral Journey" (as I was going to call the track "Lights") as a tribute to his brave fight against cancer, he's now at peace and I've literally put blood sweat and tears into this song and I really hope that I've made a fitting tribute to his memory. I've called the instrumental bridge section "Peaceful Flight" to describe the journey. I'm not a religious person but I strongly feel that we all have energy residing within us that follows a natural path when we die and gravitates toward a cosmic energy path to become part of universal oneness.
