August is traditionally the month when a large percentage of Parisians are away on vacation. Imagine how numbers will increase in September. These demonsrations are being held every Saturday, in many many towns and cities all over France. They unite all political flavours and are not solely about vaccine passports.
Since Aug 9, non-vaccinated people may no longer sit in a café, restaurant or bar, even just for a coffee. From mid-September, any health worker must be vaccinated and long distance travel within France will also require either proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test.
