Here it is folks, Counting Electric Sheep #23! Welcome to it and hello to you too. Those of you who are fans of Hirohiko Araki's masterpiece series Jojo's Bizarre Adventure might be aware that a few months ago Araki concluded Jojolion, the 8th part in the series which he had been working on since 2011. From CES #5 and every five sets after that I have featured themes and songs from the anime adaptation of Jojo which started in 2012, and the trend was going to continue into the Sessions series. But I didn't have anything prepared yet for CES 23 when Jojolion ended so I decided to make it this set Jojo-themed. There isn't an anime for Part 8 yet, we are still some years away from one, so what you'll hear in this set are songs from the first soundtrack of the Part 4 anime. Part 4 and Part 8 are linked by the town they are both set in, Morioh, but Part 8 takes place in an alternative universe (because Araki rebooted Jojo's Bizarre Adventure in Part 7). So I chose songs which I think might give us an idea of what a soundtrack for Part 8 could sound like. Feel free to let me know what you think and enjoy this one! Bye for now.
