⁣On July 1st, 2019 I had gastric bypass surgery in Mexico. My insurance would not cover the surgery because they considered it to be elective. The cost in the United States to have weightloss surgery is outrageously expensive, and you have to go through, sometimes, years of waiting. 7 days later I had to have emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction. This road has been long and at times, the hardest thing I've ever done, but I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. I truly feel that have WLS saved my life. This is only my experience.
