As MPs prepare to vote on the latest coronavirus restrictions, columnist Peter Hitchens has urged the public to "drive a wedge between the Conservative Party and Boris Johnson".
The Prime Minister will publish an impact assessment of the restrictions ahead of a crunch Commons vote on Tuesday in an attempt to win over would-be rebels.
Scores of Tory MPs have spoken out against the new system in England, which the Government wants to bring into force on Wednesday when the national lockdown ends.
Speaking to Mike Graham on talkRADIO, Mr Hitchens said it would be surprising for the measures to be voted down, but said "if enough people" write to their MPs "we can begin to bring an end to this thing."
