⁣Jamie Hull is a veteran of the Special Air Service Reserve. With an excellent service record, Jamie also had the ambition to become a pilot. Whilst out on a routine solo flight, his aeorplane's engine caught fire. With flames encroaching his limbs, Jamie kept his head and remembered his flight instructor's advice to, 'Fly the damn plane!' Once Jamie had brought the plane down to a slightly safer altitude, he climbed out onto the wing and made a jump for it. The jump alone caused great damage to his body and with four degree burns, there seemed little chance of survival. Jamie sustained 60 per cent third-degree burns to his body, tissue scarring and internal injuries. He was given only a five per cent chance of survival. Amazingly, after a long time being totally incapacitated, Jamie pulled through, both physically and mentally.
