An Imperial College London Professor says this is no longer about a virus, that there is no evidence to support the lockdown measures.
He urges other professionals to speak out urgently if they have a contribution to make. Professor Robert Endres, originally from Nuremberg also talks to me about how the German response compares to the UK in terms of media reporting, and protests. Along with lessons we need to learn from history.
Dr. Robert Endres leads the biological physics group with its strength in the quantitative understanding of sensing and signalling, and the physics of life network. He also designed and introduced the Masters programme in systems and synthetic biology, and is highly involved in training undergraduate students in systems biology.
