Looking at this sunset, shows the size of the sun diminish in size over a short distance. If the sun was really 93000000 miles away, you would not see any increase or decrease in size.
Not all sunset allow you to see this, as the humidity act as a magnification allowing for awesome sunsets, in this video we see a lack of humidity.
