Another psychotic economist! These economists seem to be everywhere in all of this. And we know how well computer modeling works out!
Dennis L. Meadows -
Using a computer-aided simulation , Meadows determined the system behavior of the earth as an economic area up to the year 2100 in his study commissioned by the Club of Rome George Randers . The model used took into account a large number of known correlations between the parameters and time delays between causes and effects. Five different scenarios showed that with the current economic and population growth caused by food shortages, pollution andscarcity of raw materials before the year 2100 the global economy will collapse. As a result, prosperity will decrease massively and the world's population can no longer be fed. Long-term stability of the world economy can only be achieved through massive efforts, especially in birth control and environmental protection , as well as through economical raw material cycles. The study was updated by Meadows and his co-authors in 1992 and 2004, respectively.
