⁣A dream or vision of Charles D. Evans, first published in 1893, in the Contributor, later known as the Improvement Era. He saw statues and monuments toppled and burned. He saw missiles shoot through the air and cause destruction. He saw the plagues recorded in chapter 16 of the book of Revelation. He saw tsunamis destroy great cities in an instant. He saw a foreign invasion. At last he saw Americans rise up in liberty in the west and reestablish the Constitution. The flag shown here is the Star- spangled banner flag flown over Fort McHenry in Baltimore, during the war of 1812.
