This podcast discusses some takeaway's from the famous Milgram Experiment where an authority figure dressed in a labcoat gives instructions to a participant at a control panel to ask questions of another participant in another room but is visible to control room. If the other participant answers a question incorrectly control room participant is to give an electric shock to the other. unbeknownst to control person is the fact that person receiving shocks is only acting as if shock is received. The purpose of the experiment is to see if people would do things to another that they find wrong if but that an authority figure is telling them to do it. Most people did what they would not normally want to do except when there were two people bucking the authority figure! Meaning a support person would shift the outcome.
