Citizen’s Forum’s Jack Etkin with Marg Friesen of 5G Winnipeg Awareness - https://5gwinnipegawareness.ca/ Marg was galvanized into action in 2010 when she heard the Director General of Health Canada parents of children getting sick from wifi in the schools there was no science reporting that. Marg knew there was science 12 years earlier reporting that. She then went to work applying her training and experience as a scientist and researcher to collecting and documenting the evidence of harm.
She published the evidence she found in 2015. She published WI-FI in Canadian Schools: A Health and Safety Issue http://c4st.org/wi-fi-in-canadian-schools-a-health-and-safety-issue/ The report documents 50 effects caused by radiation at exposures less Health Canada’s Safety Code 6 deems safe. Six months after she released her report the World Health Organisation’s International Association for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified radio frequency (which includes microwave and millimetre (mmwave) frequencies including cell phones, wifi and of course the 5G frequencies as a 2b Carcinogen possible carcinogen https://www.iarc.fr/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/pr208_E.pdf Health Canada and organisation such ICNIRP and other agencies continue to maintain the only harm caused by radiation is thermal effects despite the hundreds of scientific documents that have found otherwise. Their stance is if it does not cook you it does not harm you.
Ms Friesen encourages people to sign or start their own petitions to their local councils as she has done in Winnipeg https://www.iarc.fr/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/pr208_E.pdf to have the roll out of 5 G suspended until studies confirming the safety of 5G are done. The city of Winnipeg their own poll to solicit comments and concerns about 5G https://engage.winnipeg.ca/smallcelltechnology and Citizen’s for Safe Technology http://c4st.org and other organisation in Canada have a petition on their site http://c4st.org/5gappeal/ to appeal to the Government of Canada to “look before we leap,” to immediately suspend any further 5G rollout, and to press for a safer, more cost-effective and secure alternative — namely fibre optic and wired connections to every home and business.
