⁣Tim Shaw was born in Belfast, going on to become a contemporary visual artist and sculptor. In 2013 he was elected to the Royal Academy of Arts in London and he exhibits in the London Summer Exhibition annually. In 2018, the San Diego Museum of Art mounted Tim's solo exhibition, 'Beyond Reason'. This was a six-piece retrospective. Tim's political work is evident in a number of his sculptures, such as, 'Tank on Fire' and 'Casting A Dark Democrasy'. Major commissions include, 'Man On Fire', 'The Rites of Dionysus' and 'The Drummer', which was opened to the public by Queen's Roger Taylor.
