⁣Senior Conservative MP Sir Charles Walker has called for the ban on protests to be lifted immediately.

"This House criminalised the freedom of protest. This House – us. Not Dame Cressida, not the Metropolitan Police – we did. We criminalised the freedom to protest collectively," he said.
He added: "We are up to our eyeballs in this."
Mr Walker's comments came amidst mounting anger over the police's handling of the Sarah Everard vigil in Clapham Common on Saturday.
Thousands have since taken to the streets in central London, with many also unhappy with the proposed new policing bill.
