Benny has his Terry Wogan wig on again gently ribbing BBC2 (only 3 TV channels in 1980) whilst actually speaking up for them as providers of alternative/artistic programs which he didn't have to do but as virtual king of television i guess he felt he felt a responsibility to stick up for even them whilst encouraging them to up their game.
