Sky News host Paul Murray says there is a “major corruption scandal” which has been unfolding in Victoria as former V/Line chief executive James Pinder faces IBAC for alleged misconduct.

“The allegations are amazing,” Mr Murray said.

“Allegations that supposedly there were kickbacks in exchange for millions of dollars worth of taxpayer funded cleaning contracts.”

It comes as a CCTV photo emerged of Mr Pinder exchanging $10,000 with the head of Transclean.

“The corruption commission saw today allegations of hundreds of thousands of dollars that were coming back from this cleaning company to the bloke in charge of the Victorian regional rail network,” Mr Murray said.

“This is as red-hot as it gets.”
