For a good part of the last 20 years employees and management at WorkssafeBC have shared in a plan to bonus or as it was referred to gainshare for what amounted to denying injured worker's claims.Officially the practise has stopped but I doubt any injured worker feels confident the culture of denying claims to improve the claims managers etc "suitability" for promotion still exists.

WorksafeBC employees and staff are whatever one may claim are employees of the people of BC, their duties are tp treat injured workers fairly and in an unbiased manner. To pay them bonuses to deny or support a culture of denying claims is unconscionable on the part of those authorising it and morally reprehensible on the part of staff to accept the money. How many injured workers have lost their homes, their families, Become drug addicted, lost their lives, yes some have committed suicide,= their deaths should be treated as workplace deaths
