This yoga nidra practice is devised to support the balancing of muladhara. If you dont know what muladhara you can enjoy the short introduction to muladhara at the beginning of the video



Please read all of the below before you start this practice short introduction to Muladhara Chakra.

SETTING YOUR SANKALPA

During the Yoga Nidra practice you will be invited to repeat a Sankalpa which is specific to muladhara . Please choose one of the following sankalpas or set your own

I am safe, secure and grounded

I am supported and protected in all i do

I trust in life and let go of all fears





This practice of yoga nidra is something that everyone can do and benefit from. You might think of yoga as just moving your body around into different positions but it is so much more than that. Truly all forms of yoga are meditations or practices that support a meditative state. Yoga Nidra is a form of meditation, but unlike most meditations in this practice, you can lie down. Yes, all you have to do is lie down and follow the voice of the instructor.





Amazingly therapeutic on many levels Yoga Nidra will support you into a deeply relaxed state in which you remain conscious but your body rests and sleeps and your whole being is recalibrated and rejuvenated.





PRE PRACTICE

please consider having a stretch and do a few breathing exercises to loosen up and relax prior to starting the Yoga Nidra practice.

As well as being very relaxing and healing the nature of this practice is to release deep-seated mental tensions and purify the mind. You may experience mental and emotional releases. Sometimes those releases will be pleasurable, sometimes they may be uncomfortable, even disturbing. If your mental health is fragile you may still do this practice with the onus of responsibility on you to be ready for such experiences to occur. Any release that you experience is a purification of the mind facilitating the chance of personal growth and development on many levels. Any discomfort will be temporary :)
